This is the setup for the Sapphire Bloom shot for the Blue II challenge.

I bought the irises from the local supermarket. Was a very rainy day, but there was good, diffuse light coming through the dining room windows, so I positioned the iris to take advantage of the light. Used a blue t-shirt as the background. Been reading a few photography books, and one of them (The New Manual of Photography, by John Hedgecoe) suggested using a spray bottle when taking close-up flower shots, so I decided to try that here.

hehe interesting... you did like they did for daguerreotype ( first kind of photography ). You take the picture near a window to get lots of light from outside. You sure dont took 15 minutes of exposure lol...
