Inspired by "Evolve" by Vipermike from the Matrix challenge and I know that this image doesn't even come close to comparing to the original. Shot was done on my bed with a black sweatshirt as the background and a desk lamp used for lighting (Cheap, I know, but that's all I have to work with for the time being). Set a custom white balance and shot with the macro setting with camera on tripod. Took several shots in different poses, this one seemed to turn out the best. The hardest part was finding a decent x-ray of a hand. In the end, i couldn't find a good one of a broken hand, so I had to "break" a good hand in Photoshop, resize it to fit my hand and to display properly on the screen of my PDA. All in all, I'm fairly happy with how it turned out.
Post processing:
- Levels to get black background
- Curves
- Reduced saturation in the blue, cyan, and red channels (screen was too bright otherwise)
- Adjust brightness and contrast
- Finally, the all mighty USM.
Hope you like it, I had a fun time shooting it.

good idea. but, impossible because if that bone was broken, you wouldn't be able to hold that device.

I like this photo but for me it doesn't meet the challenge. Scoring it a 5.

Awesome. 2 of my favourite things, PDA's and x-rays. Very cool idea and great execution.

Great idea--too bad the finger bones appear to be over the palm of the hand, instead of the fingers.
Hmmm, after seeing a hand X-ray, it seems I was wrong.

Cool idea. I think I'd do a slight desat of red on the skin tones. Clever and clear image.
