Ouch! This is a very sad picture. Good composition but sad subject. I wouldn't doubt if every photogropher just cringed when they saw this. Nicely done!

An opportunity to switch to Canon? It'll cheer you up.

Good take on the subject - broken camera; and broken heart... I think this could have been more effective with a plain background and lower POV.
