Very emotional, nice depth of field, a winner if I ever saw one.

This doesnt make sense....
Why 2 rings? If she leaves him, she will leave her ring, but why is his ring there too?

I really like the concept to this, and I love how the background came out, but the paper seems a little dark and the rings unfocused.

Fantastic concept, I get the darkness is to convey dark times, but, its too dark. Specifically, the letter and rings should be lightened for a better effect.

p.s. Just so you know I am a professional photographer so take my comments as a compliment! :)

Great use of dof to focus the viewer in on the letter/rings, but perhaps just a bit more lighting on the letter would help too.

great idea and shot...just find the note a little too dark, so I have to mark it down unfortunately...but I love the idea

While it's a bit contrived, it is also done very well. I love the out of focus and backlit effect you have created here. 9

Idea is good. DOF leaves room for imagination. A little dark.

Interesting take on the challenge theme. I like it. Do wish the paper was illuminated a little better.

Wonderful idea but looks a little too set up. DOF on the background is just right though. 6

Yikes! That's a mean dear John letter. Love the look of the photo, but wish the letter was a bit brighter.
