Tohoku Shinkansen. There are only a few places around here where you can look down on the Shinkansen rails, as they're usually on elevated concrete tracks. But I found one place on a hill where I could look down and see the rails without the concrete walls impeding the view. Of course, these things are very fast.
This was the second day of shooting; I could shoot about four or five trains in half an hour (but wouldn't want to hang around too long as it's cold). This one I shot as jpg rather than RAW as I could get more shots in continuous mode.
I wish I could have got the shot cropped lower, but there are power lines there too.

suggests great speed and the crispness of the train must have been difficult to achieve..... I would have liked to have seen more of the train, or even more interesting colors, to grab the attention of the viewer
