 I know it isn't that great, I know the bg is distracting, I know it has some noise, and I know this won't have a high score for dpc is very traditionalist and they go with the ordinary (great ordinary ones) But what the hell... It's a free country and I want to participate!

I feel like your subject was too close to the light sorce and not close enough to the backdrop... There is a bright glare on the bud of the flower and the shadow is too soft for me.

Very nice, I like how the subject looks like death but the background and shadow almost looks like a rising bud. Wonderful picture.
