This was shot on the grounds of the University of Toronto, there are lots of old brick walls covered with vines, which look gloomily romantic in the winter. [Post-challenge remark: I guess not many other people find this kind of stuff romantic. Oh, well, I guess romance is about tacky stuff. :)]

I think this photo works better as a memory of a romance, rather than a romance in itself. I imaginge looking at the room where I meet the first love of my life and ... (put cheesy stuff). Now, being old, I come back to this place where love started.
Technically though, I liked the B&W choice, but it's done quite harshly. I suspected that there's something wrong with my monitor, but no: your photo has a cover of purple or violet or whatever the name of this colour is. I guess it would have helped a lot if you waited for the evening, or done it earlier in the morning, to get some better and more diffused light.

Nicely composed. The photo is nice but I just don't see much romance in this shot. Sorry.

Love the photo, I just don't get how it relates to the subject

I'm unsure of what this has to do with romance...

The window is a little over-exposed. Adjusting the curves a bit might allow you to salvage some detail from the high end. This image has no obvious connection to the challenge topic, and your title seems to make no effort to establish such a link.

Your window is too blown out and I dont exactly get the feeling of romance from this. Maybe if there was a lady hanging out the window or something. I like the vines though, the light may be a bit harsh? not sure.
