The height of romance -- my fiancé's hand with the symbol of our romance.

Taken on a back ground of white paper atop my coffee table in natural sun light.

I really like the sharpness of the ring and the area around it. What I don't like is the transition the hand has with the background. The out of focus part doesn't bother me but the difference of color does. As such the diagonal line it creates takes too much of the focus away from the ring. Maybe if the background was black the transition would look better and being black it might also enhance the elegant nature of this photo and make the hands pop out in general being that it's the lighter color.

I like the blank background, it emphasises the focus on the ring, and points out that, at that moment, nothing really matters apart from what the ring symbolises, which is of course invisible ...in that respect I think you've taken a photo of romance itself rather well.

Nice, the clarity on the ring is perfect. Not sure why you composed it the way you did with a lot of white nothing in the photo.

Nice focus on the ring but the large white space draws your eye
towards the center.

Beautiful lighting.

Since she's already wearing the ring I think that a caption such as "She Said Yes" or "I Do" would have been more appropriate. This is a nice, stock-like image; it looks almost like a jewelry advertisement.

To me, this speaks more of love than it does to romance, but it's a very well executed shot.

Great shot, I liked the negative space and shallow DOF- it's a 10

love this shot, the space just gives it that feeling that a question really is being asked.

love it. Focus is on the main subject where it belongs.

I sincerely love the composition in this. The negative space really adds to the overall picture! well done!

I like all the empty space - it is the visual equivalent of a question - the fingers line up nicely on a diagonal that emphasizes the ring and leads the eyeeither to it or away from it perhaps depending on the answer to the question. I am not sure what the brown object the hand is resting on is - it distracts my eye and does not add to the picture. Nice use of shallow DOF and nice focus. Wish the shadow falling on the finger below the ring might have been reduced by another light or a bounce.

really great concept, voting.

Great idea. Like the use of negative space too. There is a bit of a hot spot on the diamond, but overall a very nice shot.

Perfectly in theme. The single ring, with no sign of wedding band or tan line perfectly captures the engagement. Great OOF and composition. 9 from me.
