Took this shot from the top of Rockefeller Center on my first ever trip to NYC. It was a very cloudy and fairly windy day and the shot came out kind of dark. Used shadow/highlight and curves to lighten up the buildings and then applied a warm filter to adjust the coloration. Overall, I really like how it came out. I will be interested to see other peoples comments on it.

I have to agree that this is definitely a very centered image. The horizon is a bit off tilt but that's ok. I wonder had the tower been to either left or right showing more of the ground plane, would this be better? I think the shadows could be brought out further and really make this stand out. Great eye on this shot.

Someone visited Top of the Rock, eh? :) The low contrast finishing works really well with this image. My only quibble is that the building in the lower right (the Grace Bldg?) is too stark and draws one's attention its way.

It's a bit tilted to the left.

Seems a bit dull. Maybe the sky could have helped if it had some color. That is of course, my opinion!

Great shot of the Empire State Building. I like the hazey look around the tower.

I have to get my ass up to Thirty Rock. This is such a great angle on the city. I am not too cool with the post production just because of my taste that is not to say it isn't good. You did a great job keeping this image sharp.

This still makes me sad not seeing the twin towers to the right of the Empire State Building.

Good job.

Thought it was the leaning tower of NY for a second. A quick straightening would have helped this shot, along with a level/curve adjustement to increase the contrast, and then perhaps shift the focus from the center of the frame to provide some sense of composition. But that's just my opinion.
