This photo shows the surroundings well enough, but it doesn't do justice to the beach itself.

With regard to the rocks on the beach, I should add that they all faded to a rather pale grey when dry, due to surface imperfections. But when they got wet, color burst out of nowhere. And the detail on them... they all had little universes of veins and grains and ripples. The waterline was fascinating - didn't think to take pictures of it at the time.

Everyone should go there sometime...
