In my opinion of this same post could've been found with the animal more centered in the frame and with him actually facing the camera would've made it that much better.

Even though the birds are showing their back, I like this photo alot because you can see the details of the feathers. Very nice.

This needs a tighter crop, and probably a different angle of view, to draw more focus to the main subject. There are a lot of distractions---the duck at the right edge, the gull which we can see through the space b/w the duck's head and wing, and the gull that we can see peering at us just below the duck's left wing.
