To be honest, I was considering this as an open challenge, and I didn't want to give up the chance for a free advanced editing challenge. Took photo, vaguely inspired by another photog (mark howell) but realised my photo wasnt a tribute to his style, just influenced by one of his photo. Googled to find a suitable photog for the title. Not really 'well-known' but hey ;)

This is so subtle. The commenter below said that it looked like it was all about to disapear. I completely agree - when I look at this, I am reminded of a breezy afternoon in the forest. The clouds are drifting around, and the sunlight keeps appearing and disappearing in patches, and with it, the shadows. It's like you captured that brief and silent moment when the sun shone for a moment, and the shadows came out.

Brilliant shot.

This is wonderful. Great texture. It looks like it's all about to disappear. It's all been a dream.

this is good.
now bumping from a 7 to an 8.
not sure who Michael Crawford is.
I know the Michael Crawford who played Frank Spencer and more recently The Phantom of the Opera, but I doubt it's him.
Anyway, I want to know the details of how you achieved this effect when the challenge is over, so you better post them, ok?

I love the transparency this image portrays. The canvas and the branches all combine to create one lovely image. Great job! The duotones make it quite poignant as well. Great eye for composition.

I'm not familiar with Crawford, but this is a very nice photo. It's very arty and it looks like a lot of thought went into producing it. Great job!

I really don't care if this looks like the tribute photgrapher or not ( I couldn't find much info on Michael Crawford )...this is divine.

Dark and mysterious. I love it! Sort of Chinese rice paper paintings meet Alfred Hitchcock. Among my top picks.
