brightness/contrast; clarified; full photo sat; selective burn; crop; border; and a bit of neat image sharpen.

This was a last minute entry due to being torn on this and tribute. In any case, I had the flu and didn't really give it much of a good representation. I really never got a shot off to work with.

Oh, the hike? The hike I took was a mile down the road, in my car, to a neighbors house where they have two of these fenced in. :) I took about 10 shots through the fence. I thought that getting it on the angle I did, it would look more aloof rather than looking right at me. Looks more "natural" like.

I decided to take another poster up on their idea of giving the illusion of wildlife then actually capturing one MORE duck or seagull in flight..LOL. So this was actually fun to create this illusion. I just wish I wasn't so ill that I had to go to bed for the rest of the day after shooting it. It looked good to me at the time, but then again, the flu makes you see crazy things..LOL. It is too small and is too sharp, and I knew that once I got better and viewed it more properly.

Thanks for all the votes though. At least it didn't bottom 10.

Interesting backside. ;^) Image is a bit oversharpened and the subject is too centered IMO. Where was your hike BTW? ;^)

Good luck in the challenge.

I really don't think that you have maximised the potential of this shot. You should aim for 640 for one side.

This is a nice picture, I'm just afraid that this will be voted down because of the size, you should use the 640 pixels that we are allowed to use in challenges.

Would have been better if he had turned to look at the camera but maybe there wasn't an opportunity.

Nice colors, but looks over-sharpened.
