A nice capture. I really like the composition, looks simple yet very clean. The wings and feathers look a tad soft though. After playing around with this image on photoshop I feel a little sharpening and a little play with levels would have really improved this image. Overall though a good job done. 6 |

I love these guys ever since I learned that they can't actually fly away with my dog. They have some fascinating habits, like throwing up on their attackers and peeing on their legs to disinfect them. I like where you've placed him. Am wondering about the wing differences, can't perceive why the shadow...? Enjoyed your photo. |

For this challenge, I staked out a dead dear on the side of the road for several days trying to get a group shot of the birds feeding... missed them by just a bit but could not get the shot... so I ended up with a white tail buck from my neighborhood... not the shot I wanted though.... I need to get a telephoto so I don't have to get so close ;-). |

Not a lot of detail in the black areas of the bird, cool backlighting on the lighter feathers though. |

This is a dramatic point of view. Unfortunaltey, there is not quite enough detail in the buzzard to really grab my interest. I want to see the gleam in its eye as it looks down. |
