thanks for the compliments but I made a mistake and put the wrong image in and did not realize it till it was to late. So not happy with this image its out of focus and some other things i dont like about it but again it was my own fault I put in the wrong image

I would have completely blurred out the background (lower f-stop#) or tried to get focust throughout the picture (higher f-stop#)

Nice shot but seems to be touch out of focus.

I think a little more blur on the building and a different angle if possible (to eliminate the illuminated building) would make the lanterns stand out more and give it a bit of drama.

Interesting picture, but it's a little busy with the buildings in the background. If the subject is the lights, you would want to isolate them more in the picture to make them stand out. For instance, it looks like there is some open sky to the right - if you positioned yourself a little to the left, you may have been able to isolate the lights against the open sky. If you wanted to keep the juxtaposition with the buildings, then doing the above in landscape mode may have achieved the proper affect.
