great poses you captured but unfortunately the focus is way to soft

Oh wow, I wish this had been razor sharp because the grouping, the light and the expressions would get it up on the front page.

Well, it's a cute photo, yet it has his flaws: first of all, it's too blurry, I would never submit it, secondly, I don't like the composition: a bit more space around these cute little creatures would have looked better, thirdly: the background is too dark, I think, it's a bit hard on the eyes.

This would have been great if the focus was a little bit better.

Cute little critters. Looks a little out of focus and perhaps a little dark.

Given the spirit of the challenge was to capture a shot of wildlife in its natural environment, I find it most difficult to believe that this was done with your entry. Needless to say my vote on this was very low given those circumstances. When a photo does not do its best in composition to depict actual challenge guidelines, my stadegy for voting immediately stops and it becomes a DNMC to me. Given the animals depicted, the pose, and lack of any B/G, I simply cannot believe this shot was done of wildlife in its natural environment.

I love meercats. This shot illustrates part of what is so fascinating and endearing about them. I just wish you had managed to get a catch light in the eyes of at least one of them. I know this is hard because of their deep set eyes. You could hardly be expected to have managed an assistant to hold a reflector near them :D. It just seems a bit fuzzy near their faces and isn't engaging me as much as this subject generally would. Nice effort!

Interesting image, but it looks a little soft to me. It's also a pity you can't see more of their eyes.
