Just trying my hand at a minimalist nature photo.

I recently read a book by John Fielder and was amazed by his work. I hope my photo captures a fraction of the beauty that he has managed to capture.

Nice use of asymetrical balance. It really adds a lot of affect to your subject

Nice, simple image. Color of the background is very nice and like the blue of the ice.

The amazing contrast of colors make this a very striking photo. Is John Fielder the one who takes all those amazing Colorado landscape pictures. If its the one I'm thinking of, he is also one of my most favorite photographers!

I am glad that this is reminiscent of John's work. The colors and saturations leaves me breathless as I remember seeing one of his pieces in a Colorado Gallery a few years back. This reminds me much of his "fall collection". Great tribute I am sure he will truly love and appreciate.
