|This is my wife Henný again as the model. The idea was to create an image that could work in a magazine as an advertisement for the jacket she is wearing. There is actually a logo on her left sleeve that was visible but I removed it in the PP as I was sure it would get too much negative attention.
Taken in a snowstorm, used a 580ex flash with a small softbox to the upper left triggered with a transmitter to both work as a fill flash and to freeze the snowflakes to make them stand out more.
As for the PP, first I "developed" two images from the .raw file with different WB settings, one for her face and hood and one for the rest of the shot and blended them together. Then I added some vignetting, removed her shadow in the bottom right, cloned out a couple of snowflakes, especially over her face. Curves to increase contrast, selective curves on the backround to make it darker and finally sharpened after resizing.
Edit after the challenge: Well as far as I am concerned, this is one of my favorite shots I have entered here at DPC since I joined, perhaps I am a bit biased since I really love the subject but who can complain with an average score of almost 6.
