I saw this comparatively tiny person stop on the little dune and take in the view, just as I was doing from the overlook trail beyond the dunes. I thought it was a great illustration of that vastness of nature.

Cropped.
Cloned out a couple bright objects on the plains.
Steepened AB curves to bring out colors.
Adjusted Shadow/Highlight to brighten shadows.
Two passes of USM at wide radius to increase local contrast.
Resize to 640.
One more sharpening pass.

A beautiful shot as it is, but my bet is that nobody noticed the tiny figure af a person atop that dune. Sadly, this is one of those shots that doesn't do nearly as well as it deserves in the scoring here due to the 640 pixel restriction, but would be simply incredible at a large size.

This is really confusing to look at ... did you trying cropping it without anything in the background .. I know it provides context but it is powerful on its own.

Wow, you really have to search for the person on the lookout.. but there he is. DANG those are huge sand dunes. This photo would be so much better in different light, but I guess you take what you can get.

Very nice shot! Its nice to see a desert photo that isnt way oversaturated or converted to B&W.

I love the sand dunes, but the haziness in the background distracts the foreground.

Took some careful looking to find it. Beautiful textures - plain a little dull
