This picture would have been better if taken in Vermont

Wish I had more time to take additonal shots before the steak burned to a crisp. There were number of comments on focus both good and bad. Talking it over with a few friends we think that any blurryness is due to heat waves from the fire. I used manual focus at f16.

this could have better focus - nice capture of the flames though - and we love it meduim rare :)

Very nice cooking action shot. Makes the steak look appetizing and the grill gives it a feel of a outside cookout or campfire. Lighting is good without overexposing the fire yet still showing the meat. Some viewers may think the meat slightly out of focus.

I love the concept of this picture, but its subject isn't clear enough for it to warrant a very high score.

How would you liked your camera cooked, sir?

Very nice, I love the ghostly flames with the steak in focus. The only thing I can suggest is to move the steak off the middle maybe toward the bottom of the frame.

I can smell the food - very nice

Photo looks out of focus

focus (or lack of focus point) spoils what could have been a winner

Try increasing red and decreasing blue. The flames will look hotter and the meat richer. Then you might like it with levels adjusted more to dark mediums. Great shot though. 7
