Ingredients:
French bread cut 1/2 inch thick,
Sliced tomatoes cut to fit bread,
Sliced Mozzarella cheese cut to fit bread,
Fresh basil leaves,
Olive Oil,
Salt & Pepper.

Directions:
First brown the bread in olive oil, then stack cheese, tomatoes and basil in any order. Drizzle with olive oil, then salt and pepper to taste. Makes a wonderfully easy and tasty appetizer. Your friends will be impressed.

...Got a lot of comments about the basil looking like mint, but as far as I know it was basil. Tasted ok at least :-)

light is a bit harsh....but subject matter is good. it might have been even better if you had taken it from a different angle. just my two cents

Good colors and lighting and an appealing macro. The background with the peppers on white is a nice touch. In an arrangment like this you want to pay close attention to detail. For example, the leftmost bruscheta's leaf does not goes off the frame but the rightmost one does. This looks unbalanced to the human eye. Though probably inappropriate for the dish if you used a spray bottle to mist it with water droplets it would give it even more appeal.

I think more saturation would greatly help this shot. That said, it's good, nevertheless.

it's all that stuff sprinkled on the table that makes this work so well.

Nice composition but the light is a tad too harsh.

Very creative... I do find the peppercorn on the basil leaf a weak element, makes it look tainted.

I'll bet there's a bottle of olive oil nearby you could brush the leaves and tomatoes with. Give you a more luscious shine. Nice concept.
