::: Greetings from Critique Club :::

Hi, as requested, here is an indepth critique of your submission.

First Impression - the most important one:
I like it! Very nice detail.

Composition:
Not as strong as it could be. Having the raspberry near dead-center isn't exactly a strong composition. Having it off to one side of the photo would have been much stronger.

Subject:
Clear, crisp .. good

Technical (Colour, focus, and light):
Focus: Perfect. Very sharp.
Colour: Also, perfect.
Light: Once again, perfect.

To grow its vote?:
More than likely, a stronger composition would have gained a few points for you. Also, this was a fairly tough challenge and you scored admirably in it.

Summary:
Good job on this entry, you scored well with a well executed shot.

Hope to see more from you soon,
Leroy

Awesome shot. The rim lighting really sets the red of the raspberry apart from the background. Just enought light behind the berry to emphasize the color and translucence. Makes me want to eat it! ;o)

Very nice, Love the way this is lit up and the edges glow, Nice detail and the red border seems to tie it together well.

I like the border, it frames the image well and because it matches the raspberry it add cohesion to the photo which I find(the photo) engaging..

One very delicious berry, on top of a sugar hill, with delicate back-lighting, which gives the image its impact.....

I really like the contrast of colors here with the background and the white and the red. Well done, good luck.

Some of us feel fruit is delicious enough without the addition of superfluous sweetening. :)

This is interesting. I like the border. Not crazy about the pile of sugar. What if you had it stuc in a 4 tined fork, or on the end of a wide butcher knife instead... hmmm... just thinking out loud.

Love it! But I'd like to edit out those two grains at the bottom of the raspberry. This will be up there among the best.
