There's something about your image I like. Aside from great colors in the sky and water - maybe it's the perspective. Whatever it is (I'm not one of those tech photogs as you can tell) I like it.

Different, made me look twice! And yes, get the mood as well. Wish the photo didn't look like it was tilted by mistake tho'.

I love the view...But sad to say, the horizon is up on the left, and down on the right.

Horizon is tilted. I would like to see just the book and the sea rather than the uninteresting legs.

If the horizon was not tilted it would be a great photo. However you get good points for the idea.

this image just does not do anything for me. I don't care for the composition, nor the hairy leg stretching across most the image. Might have been a nice beach shot if you remove the person

great pov!!

Different prespective, great colors, nicely done. The prespective makes this more then just a beach scene, it tells a story instead. Good luck

I like the idea but the horizon isnt level and the composition seems very busy at the bottom.

the horizon is tilting, and it looks like you hit the shutterbutton by accident, not worthy as the best of 2005
01/21/2006 01:07:53 PM
Cool idea, needed to have the horizon straightened

I think the book in the foreground is too bright - maybe better to turn it away from the sun a bit more and use shallower DOF to deemphasize it. Also, for me at least, the tilted horizon is very un-relaxing. I like the concept, though.

Oohh...hairy legs. LOL. Wish I was there.

That's what summer is all about. My only criticism, your horizon isn't level so I would have cropped it slightly anti-clockwise.

I'm jealous of the relaxation, but the photograph leaves a bit to be desired. Focus is soft, and the composition seems crowded and tilted.

I think a good landscape shot would have worked better. The book and leg give it great depth, but it takes away from the overall photo.

ooo...what would have been great would to have had a lighthouse in the background...way off in the distance! but still a great shot!

9 from me...good luck!

Nice shot, really made me forget about work for a few minutes. Perfect choice in book as well.

Subject is not doing a great deal for me and your horizon is a bit drunk. I could relax if I was there mind, but I don't know whether your intention of winning the 'Best of 2005' with this shot was entirely ernest.

Hope you enjoyed your holiday and book though.

I just read that book!
Horizon appears tilted...

Sorry just a little bit too distracting from the landscape. I think you needed to find a way to do it less obviously. Not a bad idea, just not the best ever execution.
