Greetings from the Critique Club

Welcome to DPC! I see this is your fourth image and each time you have scored better. Keep up the good work; you'll end up on the front page soon, at this rate.

I love the composition of this image. I'm delighted by the expressions on the faces of each of the players. LIke many of your commentors, I am puzzled by the difference in skin tone from front to back. And I desperately wish there was slightly better focus but with an aperture of 1.6 you got exactly what you exposed for. I can only think that a higher ISO rating might have made a difference. But I don't think I am telling you anything new.

But, still, this is an exciting image and it did score well. (I'll be in Paris towards summer, and know I'll never find a scene this lovely)

IN any event, I'll look forward to seeing more of your images on DPC.

DonĀ“t know why I scored this rather low the first round, maybe the sad expression on the violin player had this effect on me, the photo is not bad but I found it odd to see so many of the concert players out of focus..bumping up

This is good, real good.....

i like this composition quite a bit. the fact that the lighting is so different that there are 3 distinctly different skin tones is a bit distracting. maybe a b/w version would be better? just a thought. i also wish you could make out more of the first 2 guys' hats, so it didn't look like their heads were chopped off. in any event, this is a great shot.

There are a handful of images in this challenge that dared to be different, a thing apart from the typically accepted notion of beauty. This is one of them, and it is superbly executed. And now at the risk of sounding foolish, my curiosity must be satiated - are these brothers, or is this a repeat appearance of the same person? The eyes and noses are so similar, I can't help but wonder if this is one of those very clever images people have been trying since Kiwiness made his 30 appearances in church one morning. Either way, it is a remarkable image. I love the way the lighting shifts with the DOF. I love the mood in each man's face. Just really, really well done.

I fear it won't place as highly as I like among so many well-done mountain and water landscapes, but this is truly an art piece.

The first guy seems oddly pale in comparison to the rest.

I like the composition and DoF, making them more blurred the further back they are. Nice shot.

good angle for this. Nice DOF too. The skin tones are all so clashing though - not sure if I like that or not. Especially the third guy who has a funky yellow cast.
