Greetings from the Critique Club!

Ok, so let's get right to it. First of all the appeal of the photo is wonderful. Being one myself who loves sky and cloud shots, it gives me immidiate appeal, and usually most appeal of these shots is universal. So good choice.

I can tell the sky is rather ominous, and most likely why the mountain area is so dark. The clouds do over power the shot, but given that the clouds are the shapes you want to portray then it was appropriate to do so for this challenge.

I love the lighthing in the background area. It backlights the clouds nicely without them losing themselves to silouette. Nice sunset and the clouds give the shot much depth.

It's not really just a photo of clouds, but gives the viewer more to take in and find satisfaction with. I am not even going to mention that most of the photo on top being dark is a distraction. From what I can tell, it only makes me think of it as the forefront cloud, and I believe it also gives depth to the rest of the photo below as the eye is drawn down.

I believe the focus is very good as the mountains are well defined. I don't see any noise in the photo. The emotion I get from the photo is one of calm and peace due to floating clouds and a gorgeous sunset. It just makes me believe the scene could go on forever. So I find it very appealing in that regard. I also like the hint of snow caps that can be seen on the mountain tops.

All in all I believe this is very well done for the challenge, and a well constructed photo.

Thank you,
Rose

This is amazing, the clouds look like UFO's wonderful capture.

Very interesting. I can't decide if you wanted sharp focus or almost blur. A flat look would work on this.

Wow! Awesome clouds in this photo. The inclusion of just a bit of ground really makes this sky photo work well.
