I've had this photo in my portfolio for a couple of months but it is one of my favourites for the year. I hope I didn't overdo the saturation but we'll see how the votes go.

I was asked by 2 of my friends to photograph their wedding (yes, they paid me $500Aus). This was taken after the ceremony and all the 'congratulations' and before the reception. It was taken under cover at the reception centre, hence the top of the roof in the background (unfortunately). Without a doubt one of my favourite photos I have taken for the year!

Cloned and blended some blemishes
Sponged for saturation
Dodged a little on tree in background and flowers

Free Studies are so cruel when it comes to voting! This is much better than a 5.89 score would lead one to believe. Nicely composed, nicely lit, love the expressions ... you "captured the moment". WTG!

Nice job capturing a very happy moment for this couple. You can see the happiness in their face and it translates well into the photography. The sharpness of the focus and colors is really well done. I can't really offer any criticism on this shot as I think you executed it well.

Hi Makka,

Greetings from the Critique Club!

My standard text :)
-------------------
I'm by no means expert in area of photography. My comments are purely based on my limited understanding of technology and art behind digital photography. Apart from doing detailed evaluation of your submission, my intent is to learn different styles of photography by critically evaluating selective submissions. I hope following comments of mine are helpful to you.

Composition :
-------------

This is a beautiful picture which captures the emotions very well and it makes a great wedding photograph. Sometimes what may be the greatest photo to those who are involved, might not click to others in general and I guess thats the reason why it did not scored more than 6 (not that 5.89 is a bad score)

Camera Work :
---------------

Camera work is good. Image seems to be properly exposed. Good crop and(just enough) car in background looks good.

Post-processing :
-----------------

Again good work on this one. I cannot think of any other way this could have been made better.

Summary :
----------

Overall a good composition. I did not voted for this challenge but I would have also given something between 6-7 which is above average score but then this could be because I like the pictures which convey emotions :)

If you've got any questions about this critique, please feel free to contact me via email, PM or IM (1530GMT-2330GMT)

Wish you a great day!

Beautiful clarity with gorgeous colours. But what stands out the most is the smile on the bride.
