I was right. No one seemed to get the point of motherhood. I expect the guys to miss the point, but some of the moms should have realized that this is what mothers do.
Without the child she is not a mother. And a good mother always sees her child as the bright spot in her universe. You did well. Ignore the nay-sayers. |

| The lighting on the baby is very nice, but the lighting and composition of this effectively put the mother in the background, both actively and figuratively for me. Since this challenge is "Mother", I would prefer to see the mother and baby interacting in some way, and the lighting encompassing the two of them. Yes, I know it's nitpicking, but a first glance at this image says "BABY", and since the two are not interacting in any way, it doesn't really say (to me) "MOTHER AND BABY". |

| this is a sweet photo..... the soft smile on the moms face - her eyes on her precious.. the baby is sweetfaced..... on a personal level and the comment I am leaving about this is just a preference of mine that it might have been nicer to have them in the same lighting |

| the primary subject in this photo(to me) is the son. It's a great picture, just doesn't have as strong of a connection to mother as some of the others. 6 |

| very nice capture. the lighting difference on the mom and child seperates them though, i would have liked them more evenly lit. i think i might have liked her to have a slightly lighter colored shirt on to prevent her head from seeming like it's floating. nit picky stuff, it's really nice. |

Ok - you got your great shot, now let the poor kid use the bathroom. LOL
Good job on this - would have liked it if the mom was equally or more prominent in the portrait. Still, very well done. |
