Hmm... I like the idea, but I think this needs more contrast. Perhaps a different color paper or background would help this?

Not an especially new idea but very well executed. You have done a nice job capturing a wide spectrum of light levels. The shape is intrinsiclly interesting. The shadows, while subtle enhance the overall image. Lighting is subtly effective. Great job!

Good idea and composition. More sharpness, DOF, level contrast, and distinct shadow would help, I think, as you aren't limited to white on white.

These types of images are hard to do. You could use some more gray in the strong all whites. Pretty good maybe a darker contrast would bring out more details and shadows.

Great idea and good composition. I would have liked to see slightly greater definition or contrast as the strips and background are both white.

I would prefer sharp focus, so the shape would jump out from the background. Perhaps having the paper a different color than the background would also work. Maybe that is not what you were going for, though.
