Damn! Had this sitting in among my 8's, ready to bump up & comment, and never got back to it in time. What I liked so much was the wonderful synchronicity, of course ... I felt that this was what the challenge was really about: finding patterns in unexpected places. I also liked the composition, providing three equal horizontal bands. Any minor technical limitations are, in my view, more than compensated for by the image's sparkling originality and harmony. The birds are, I think, not ducks but cormorants, yes?

IMO you got robbed here. I thought this would come close to a ribbon. I suspect if it were crisper it would have bumped up a little. SUCH a wonderful capture.

Quite underrated IMO. This was one of the best of the challenge. My only gripe is that the duck on the left appears to be slightly OOF while the water behind it appears quite sharp, but even this isn't too big of a deal.

Good capture. Wish they had been tighter and sharper, but just that you caught such a moment is wonderful.

i like this shot. I had a close look to see if it was a photoshop clone of one bird, but it doesn't seem to be. great pattern!

Technically so-so; it seems to lack critical sharpness/acuity. This may just be a PP problem, I don't know. However, it's spectactularly well-seen, I totally love the image itself. It's one of the few non-close-up nature shots that actually works in this challenge. Congrats!
