We had just arrived at our campsite in Olympic National Park after a full day of driving, in which we drove a good two hundred miles in the wrong direction. When we discovered our error, we pulled off to the side of the road and let bogglement at the scope of our error overtake us, during which time I set off fireworks and Jenny made herself the crown of daisies immortalized in this photo.

We ended up in a completely different place than we'd intended, but when we got there just before sunset, the light filtered through the moss-covered trees was just so gorgeous that we knew it was actually a good thing we'd gone the wrong way.

This was a relatively wide angle shot at f/4.5, so I faked a narrower DOF by adding some gaussian blur to the background. Bit of dodging on her face as well.

She is so beautiful. This is an image that I am sure will be treasured forever. Well Done!

My only suggestion (very minor) would be to dodge the eyes just a bit to lighten them and show a but more detail.

I'm very glad you got lost!
The gaussian blur works good here, sometimes it makes fake background blur look cheesy.
