Modify to your heart's content for various angles, etc. Control ambient light however you can, ie- wait until dark, use other lights, etc. Replacing the spotlight with a flash works wonders for controlling ambient, set aperture for flash, set shutter for ambient. Easy peasy, bob's your uncle.
