This two second exposure of my car's tacho was a fun one to take. Squeezing a tripod into the car and removing ambient light was a challenge whilst reving the engine. I also learnt stuff I should have known about metering.

I am impressed that the needle appears to go behind the numbers - it doesn't in real life but the long exposure creates the illusion nicely.

A simple rotate, crop and very minor curves adjustments were the only post-processing - not even a sharpen was used.

Greetings

This is a great shot and the composition is very good..well balanced with great use of negative space. Focus is very crisp. I can't find anything negative.

I love how clear this picture is. It looks like it could be a graphic instead of a photo. Nice!

One of the best speedometer shots I have seen so far. Love the composition and use of leading lines.

This doesn't give me an actuall feeling of speed, but I like the interpretation - the concept. Nice and clean, clear. The movement of the needle has be captured very well. I like the strength of the colours.

I got this back to back with "Rev it up" (the other RPM shot). Both are excellent, 9

I may be wrong, but this looks like the tacho from a VT-VX Holden Commodore??? Nice shot. I've tried this before and it's hard to keep the camera stable while revving like that. Well done!
