I am lucky enough to work in one of the most photogenic places in the city. And being a Pastry Chef in December means I am going into work at this ridiculous hour anyway.

For a 'Christmassy' image, the foreground works well, IMO, as it has a sort of Dickensian, workhouse kind of feel. The lighting of the buildings is wonderful and the sky is great. I'd love to be able to take a shot as good as this.

Interesting colors, location, architecture, barrels, and snow. Nice exposure and DOF - I like it a lot.

this looks like one of the little victorian houses that light up in christmas scenes. Quite charming. The image probably could have done without the empty pavement.

looks suspiciously like a match factory, except for the caskets. this could probably be more interesting if there was a person or some people shuffling by on there way to work. if you're working off a tripod and there's no one around, don't be afraid to insert yourself into a few shots just to see how they come out.

Outstanding subject choice. A destillery is a timeless symbol of social times. The light and composition is admirable here. Well done. 8

Top shot - You seem to have used the available light well and composed a photo that draws the viewer in. I hope you do well in the challenge.

A bit over exposed, hence the really bright hot-spots in the lights.

Nice job preventing all those outdoor lights from causing too much glare. Like the texture feel of some of the bricks in certain areas. Well done

Good photo, I think whatever tech problems it has is due to your camera.
