I got home from work in time to catch this fire truck out on a call.

Cropped, tone curve, unsharp mask (two passes at 88%, 0.8 dia, Threshold=5).

good idea, but I think the idea of speed would be better conveyed if the fire truck was in motion.

The composition here is a bit strange to me - the car on the right is distracting for me. I wish there was more of the fire truck in the shot - or that you could sense the speed at which it was moving. With this shot I don't get a sense of urgency.

nice capture- I might have tried to crop off the vehicle to my right of the truck.
a little less street in the foreground may given this photo more impact.

Not really showing me motion/speed. The fire truck could be parked there....we don't see movement. The lower 1/3 of the shot is not adding here. Sorry.
