Very sweet photo of a little girl swimming. It does seem a little soft on the focus, perhaps trying an unsharpening mask might help you. Your colors here are extremly good and there is a nice texture created by the bubbles in the water.

As for meeting the challenge of speed it is a little weak in portraying the feeling of speed but I do see some motion in it. Keep working on them.

The water is too distracting. If the pool had been drained and the child was floating on the air over the pool while flapping her arms and kicking her legs then it would have been much more effective. Especially if a large fan was placed strategically so that her hair was blowing backwards. It's too wet in this photograph. I also don't like her bathing suit color. It clashes with the color of the water and slows down the speed effect you were trying to achieve. What is your point here anyway? I'm very upset.

I'll never forget my first swimming race. Mark Spitz had just claimed 7 gold medals at the Olympics doing the Butterfly. So I did the butterfly--very badly and came in last place. I can see how she could believe she is going fast, so this image works for me!

beautiful colors. maybe catching the swimmer with arms out of the water would add some more action.

For a swimmer to relay the feeling of 'speed' - perhaps a bit more splashing is needed.
