This image is actually not mine but oOWonderBreadOo (thanks Laura) which I used for the DPC Gauntlet Challenge.
I adjusted levels to the original image (which was a bit out of focus). Burned the edges and shadows. Duplicated the layer. On the duplicated layer, I dodged the light rays using different sizes of the paint brush and using different hardness as well. I set the opacity to 65% and merged both images. Next i made a copy of the edited image and ran it through Midnight sepia filters to get the "misty foggy and soft feel" of the image. Copied the image and pasted it as a layer to the original edited image. I set the opacity to 45% and merged and flattened the image. Added the border and saved for web.
