yes, bw is best when lighting is bad. no, snow and flash do not mix well. yes, it was probably cold, but i'm sure your subjects would not have minded working on this a bit longer. if you just happened upon them, then this might be the best you could do. if they were out there for you, you probably could have composed a more interesting image, as well as taken a few where the snow blobs didn't steal most of the attention.

Nice shot, work on your cropping, I don't think you should have cut their feet off... perhaps even a closer shot would have been better.

This picture is to my eyes as a holiday serenade is to my ears. Well done. 9

Taking photographs in snow is alway a bit of a lottery. I think you have done a pretty good job in making a speical moment even more so.

Very interesting use of the flash. Glad to see there isn't a blob over the faces, how many shots did this take. Nicely original.

I think the snow is such a cute addition! Soooo romantic!

<3 Sarah

P.S. DEFINITELY MY FAVORITE! I am such a sap. Plus I am just in love with the technique of actually leaving the snowflakes there (though I don't know how you'd make them go away) and I absolutely love the detail of the Christmas lights in the background on the house. That is just so sweet and so romantic. May have been cute vertical though! Just a thought for next time to really focus on that couple!!! This is one of those pictures where focusing on the main object is really important because there is so much else crowding it. The snow is lovely btw...I've never seen real snow in real life lol

I do love those snow shots where the flash highlights the snow falling like this. I guess it gets a six

Is that a spirt orb?! ;-)
Maybe take out a couple of the flakes, especially the big one right over their heads. It tends to draw me away from them

I really like the bokeh of the snowflakes around the people. This is really romantic.

Nice idea. Execution needs a bit of work though. It would be nice if their feet were in the picture. And I think that an inch or so could come off the left hand side.
