Shutter: 1/4 sec.
Date Uploaded: Dec 2, 2005

 Used a 10-second self-timer to give me time to blow out the candle just before capture. Unfortunately the smoke didn't come out quite as I imagined. Perhaps I should've used a darker background. I had to rotate the image a little and cropped it to the final result.

WB seems off. I'd to see color other than orange. Lightning could be better also.

Great idea ... perhaps more empasis on the smoke, with a tighter crop and having the top of the candle in better focus would have really made for a ribbon contender

One of few that meets the topic description. It's a nice picture, but it looks like the candle is still burning!
