 A pond I drive by often; today it was raining pretty hard, so the effect on the water and the lines of the telephone poles seemed interesting.
Cropped, cloned out an unsightly birdhouse on pole in foreground, levels, unsharp mask, and dodged a few tree trunks.

This looks like a very serene place. The things that hurt it, for me, are the blue cast and the tilted pole. Others may like the composition with the tilted pole though... I think that's a personal preference. Using the poles as a reference, you do have a nice rule of thirds running here.

Can't really "see" the rain. But very interesting capture. May be a little heavy on the "blue" side?

You can't really see the rain that your title suggests, and the exposure is a little low. The sky is plain. Good effort though.
