Cool crisp colors. The blade would have looked more "menacing" had it been wiped clean of that distracting thumbprint.

Fun idea, and that blade really takes the stage here. The banana plays a nice second fiddle. Swell work!

Nice colours that work well together, good choice of set-up, maybe wipe the finger print off the end of the knife but thats the only thing I can think of to improve.

Great perspective and DOF. Can see a fingerprint on the blade even. The two things that brought this photo down some in my opinion is that the yellow may be over saturated a bit, and it makes the top side overbearing. And the shadow is a bit distracting for some reason. The way it shows real well on the bottom of the banana is geat and the little bit that shows another section a bit higher, but the way it is cast on the mat distracts me for some reason. Wish I could figure out why

I think it would've been better with some part of the banana in focus. I like the idea. Great colors, the blue might be just a little oversaturated.

If I see another banana photo I'm going to scream :) There - I feel better now.
Apart from being (another) banana, it's a great shot !!
Bonus points on the other banana shots for the Blue background and the Blade :)

Greater DOF would have been better IMO, did you get the fingerprints on the knife intentionally?

Hope there are no forensics people here cause they'll probably try and lift those prints right off that knife. Great detail, nice use of shallow DOF, and colours that grab you. 7

The knife really adds interest and I like the contrast of the yellow against the blue.

Would you have gotten a better focus if you spllit the banana the long way? Focus here is too much on the blade. Neat idea.

Too little focus around the blade - I can't see the cut. There's a slightly distracting fingerprint on the knife, too.

I think that with a better DOF this would have been the winner for me this week, but .... 6 Jak
