 Cropped, levels, auto color, resized for DPC, USM, save for Web.

Handheld with my A70 and a Canon EF 28-80 zoom (from my wife's film EOS Rebel) held against the camera's integrated lens. I recently read about this technique on the web somewhere (it's bookmarked on another computer I use). Thought it was an odd subject and technique. I was pleasantly surprised by the results; now to figure out a way to do this with a tripod. I also tried salt, a vitamin, banana skin and stem, salt shaker and paper napkins.

certainly demonstrates a brillant imagination, but I'm not sure that's so "odd" in this crowd.

I'm not certain what's odd here, but I'll consider an odd picture because of the unusual angle compared to the rest of the other shots submitted in the challenge. For that I gave a 4 though because it lacks a certain mood in the picture.
