The hard faces of Australia. These people have lived all their lives on the land and look much older than they really are. But they never complain. They love what they do and are always willing to show others. And yet, even with swollen sunchapped lips these masters are willing to smile for a photograph. Many of them didn't want to be photographed but did so without complaining. They all posed exactly as I wanted and then in turn they told the stationhands to do as I tell them. They obeyed although you could see they were rather embarassed to have their photos taken in front of the farmowners. The stationhands say very little around their bosses. They hold much respect for them.

Is the black background done in PP or was it due to your lighting and a backdrop?

As always I love your work.

This image was taken out doors...so it is a combination of the photo and the processing.

Great portrait, the title really fits the picture. The processing on this is very good and brings hard living to the forefront

WOW - bravo ( clap clap clap) This is just one of the best I've ever seen. This needs to be on a poster! This needs to be in a photo expose, with the description you wrote. The lighting is perfect. The grizzled beard can't hide the kindness that shines through this man's eyes. I am in awe!

The colour tone is magic and in a way captures the beauty of our beloved land. Excellent portrait Judi! Well done!
