I don't expect this to do well and I don't care to get involved in any political rants because of it.

This is what came to mind when I saw the challenge title as I was wearing these pants.

This is a timed exposure of a photo of my best friend and his girlfriend taken before he was called back to Iraq to fight with the 101st airborne infantry. I covered the photo during half of the exposure with a pair of cargo pants that he gave me, pants that he wore throughout the entire war the first year and a half he was there.

This is the last photo I have of him. I wish I was able to take a photograph of a real person instead of a photograph of a photograph but that's all I have. I respected his decision to re-disassociate himself to prepare for combat so I didn't even speak to him before he left in October. He did not want to go back. Who would?

To me this photo means a lot and it is about how people camouflage their feelings and different sides of themselves to cover up traumatic events they have been through.

Andy, if you see this by some odd chance, drop me a line and let me know you're still alive. If you don't want this photograph on the internet let me know and I'm sure the people who run the website will let me take it down. I'm an artist and this is just how I express my feelings. Love you man, come home soon...

When I first saw this shot, I wasn't sure how it was assembled, I'm still quite amazed. It's a shame that somethings like the Photographer's Comments can't be shown during the challenge, I think it makes an entry like yours more personalised. I feel bad that I gave this a 5, while on the other hand you gave me twice as much as I gave you. None the less, I still thought it's an awesome picture and creative.

If I'd've voted this challenge, this would have gotten a 10 from me.

Lovely play of double exposure with pleasing tonal values. Returning for the final bump.

This one is a bit weird to me... I guess it works for the challenge, but it isn't my personal favorite.

Looks like some good old fashion glass and/or mirror play. Nice understated composition, it conveys a lot of emotion.

Strong thought provoking image. I wish I could see more in it to understand how you see camouflage in it.

I love this picture. It is very well thought out. I think the man should've just been in the picture, that would have probably given it more meaning. Also, one part of the man's shoulder is showing and it can, for some people, be a little distracting. But the rest of the picture is clear, creative, and beautiful. Good Job!

Very interesting use of layers to produce a moody, emotive, colorful image. A solid piece of work that I hope will not be underrated
