 This photo was taken on the Yorkshire Wolds not far away from the city of York in England. It appeared quite suddenly so I put my camera into the gear bag and took shelter beneath a tree... you can see it's shadow spreading over the dale. The downpour stopped as suddenly as it had started and a perfect rainbow appeared across the sky. I knew it would last for no more than a minute or so if I was lucky. There followed a mad scramble to get my Canon EOS 3 out of it's bag and fix it to a tripod. I managed it with a second or so to spare and then the rainbow disappeared. Luck was with me!
