Good call on this one. The cat appears to be a little over sharpened on my screen. you preserved the eye color very well.

Flash could be a bit softer, and DOF should be increased by making a F number bigger.

Very well done, very crisp shot of the cat and good dof.

With even lighting and the background more in focus, the cats fur would fuse with the background. Nice composition. Nice shot!

Good idea here. The lighting on the cat needs work to me. Very bright at the ears and mouth. Soft lighting rather than a flash may have been better.

Clever idea. A little bit overexposed, but works well.

This cat really does blend into the background. The flash glare really takes away from the picture though. If you could have found a way to take this without the flash it would have been more visually appealling. Also, the sharpening might be a bit strong as the whiskers have little jaggies.

Blends in nicely, I find the flash or light too harsh on the cat's face though.

That's great, not just another cute pet photo, you actually thought through the challenge unlike a lot of pet pics (not necessarily this challenge but in general).

Better DOF would have made this perfect! Then the cat would have blended into the background.

Nice shot. Everything works for me except feels like a little too much light on the cat.

YES!!! I think the lighting is a touch too harsh, but he certainly blends in. Love the "deer in the headlights" expression. 7

There something about polka dots and stripes that offends one sensibilities.
However, its a great shot. Amazing how you got that much light on the cat and still kept so much of the detail.
