I shot this in my studio with two strobes and a hairlight to the side of him. He was not cooperating hence the title, but I ended up loving the pictures anyway. Especially the middle one.

Nicely done as far as selective desaturation goes. I like the way the background goes from light grey in the first to black in the last(right side). If people don't have their monitors calibrated right your gonna lose some points from them not being able to see the difference. I think its subtle enough like that to not include boarders which is always my preference anyway.

There is something about either the brightness or the contrast from the boys body that throws the photo out of balance and I quite can't put my finger on what it is (altho it could be this monitor). It's almost like its throwing the focus off a tad but again that could be because of the resize or this monitor.

The facial expressions fit the photo well and I can't help but think of how well this fits for christmas time. Well done and I look forward to seeing more of your work.

not sure if it's intentional, but the panels black points are different for each section.

OMG -- I am loving this!!! Great expressions, and a selective desaturation that truly adds to the shot, I think. I do hope that at least one of these (if not all) are your family Christmas pics this year (if it is your kid. if not, better not use it -- hahaha).

Great work. 10

This is so festive and entertaining. Sneaky Santa. I'm glad you were brave and went frameless, this is not suited to a frame. I hope this ends up being youre xmas card!!

Ha, love it. The center panel is priceless. 9 If I have a beef, there is slightly too much reflection on his torso. You might have been able to lower that by using a different channel mixer ratio.

Would have liked to be able to see the division between panels better. 7

Nice. Would have been better if the background was a consistent color black then you could have separated the photos with another color border

Oh, the expressions! Priceless. The selective desat is good here -- doesn't have that "gimmicky" feel that it sometimes can have.
