Thank you to all who voted. This was done through glass with incandescent lighting above the reptile, so needless to say, not an easy shot to take. I took about 30 shots all together to get this one. Only a few adjustments needed to be made in basic editing, and I am glad you enjoyed it. This is a very rare animal, only found in one part of the world when not traveling for exhibits, and in this photo he is camoflauging with himself. He weighs approximately 200 lbs and the circumfrance of his body is about 20" and he is about 30' long. His head in the shot is about 9" long and about 5" high. Someone said it would have been nice if I got him in the grass. Had I done that, the camoflauge wouldn't have been as nicely shown, and I would have had to travel to Venezuala to get that shot IF I could find one. LOL...Not likely. Thank you all for voting and looking. I am very happy with the placement I got for this shot.

Very nice, would like to see it in its environment to see how well it can camouflage itself.

Great picture, but snake blending with snake just doesn't mean camouflaged to me. Snake in jungle - yes.
( 2nd thoughts - I can see the camouflage, so no 1, however I still think a snake in the grass would have been stronger approach. 6 )
