Challenge: Garbage II (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Canon EOS-10D
Lens: Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
Location: My front yard
Date: Nov 6, 2005
Aperture: F8
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/20

Date Uploaded: Nov 7, 2005

Taken in my front yard. Just raked up some leaves and randomly dropped some colorful leaves on top.

I also discovered the blue channel which I normally only use the read and green in converting B&W. The blue channel works better with green images

Nice leaf litter, I like the b+w and good contrast. These recycle so nicely...

Leaves are not really garbage to me, but they do end up there anyway! I like the details of this shot, and while I bet the colors are great it really works in b&w. 7 for now and maybe a bump later.

Were these leaves pretty in color? Is that why you chose to use B/W? I love it though!

I always like leaves better in color but I think this works for you. The shading and texture really show up well
