I very compelling, evocative image. I like the B/W tones and gritty look. Eyes that could be saying so many things. Leaves me pondering. Well done.

A very compelling b/w study. The image walks away with feelings like pensive, disillusion, contemplation and even apathy. The sullen eyes draw the viewer into this universal feeling of disconnect. Very powerful image.

I think this is underrated, I thought it was very neat. The feel is awesome, I love the tones and textures. Good work, chick a dee.

This photo makes me so sad looking at it. It looks like the subject has been through quite a lot in recent times.
Either way I like how it was filtered. Interesting use of black and white subliminal inversion.
Good job! I'm impressed.

Great shot; I like the fact that you are looking right through the viewer, yet you are still protraying a vast feeling void and apathy almost. The dirt is a nice distraction, and the composition swell. Very interesting.

I figured this wouldn't rank that high and the typical ho hum shots of dolled up models would do better. I liked the photo. One thing I forgot to add in my comment was regarding the eyes. I think they needed to be more in focus (mainly the left eye) and as Jutilda mentioned some sort of reflection in the left eye so as to change the overall focus to the top third of the photo rather than the left third where my eye currently goes to first.

Excellent tonal range. Slight blown out area on forehead adds to the photo. Very good title too. Nicely done!

Interesting. The light and shadow is good. The dirt on the face looks very "put on," but still the effect is there. I wish there were a glint in her left eye. Good detailing. Not sure about what she has around her neck. Looks almost like a snake but maybe a knitted scarf? I can't tell. 7
