Challenge: Garbage II (Basic Editing III)
Collection: Portfolio
Camera: Fujifilm FinePix S2 Pro
Lens: Sigma 20mm f/1.8 EX Aspherical DG DF RF for Nikon
Location: Edmonds, WA
Date: Nov 4, 2005
Aperture: F/19
ISO: 100
Shutter: 2 sec
Galleries: Action, Food and Drink
Date Uploaded: Nov 5, 2005

Double exposure, first shot moved camera with flash set on rear curtain 2 sec; second shot flipped camera 90 degrees, shot garbage can at 1 sec without flash. Adjusted levels, curves, saturation, USM. Wish I could spot edit. This shot was inspired by Alan Freeds winning shot in garbage 1. I just took a different way to get it.

Great idea. Stands out from most of the other photos in my opinion.

How many shots did this take? Nice motion trail, with flash stop(?), nice color composition.

Unique and interesting - which is unusual forthis challenge. So is the aple really really big, or is the trashcan really really small...?

Very creative take on a tough subject to take an appealing photo of but this is well done. 8

How did you get an apple that big? :) I like "swish" effect of the apple. Good luck!

good idea, looks like the 1st place from the 1st "Garbage" challenge - too bad it isn't more to scale - or sized correctly such as smaller apple or larger can - as is it seems a little strange - great effort though and it definitley meets the challenge :)

Cool shot - I think it would have worked better if the trash can was bigger. It seems out of proportion with the apple. 6.

nice timed shutter effect. the size of the core and trashcan are a nice visual trick.

I do think it is a great shot, but it is almost an exact copy of the winner from garbage I..so the lack or originality brought you down a point or two, for me...

nice motion. how did you get the apple beeing sharp in that last moment?
hehe and also a nice trick to have the garbage can in the background so the apple seems to fall into the can

Not bad, the garbage can looks miniature and doesn't seem to fit, though.

Having done this sort of shot before, I know how much effort goes into pulling it off! I like the way you made it look like a monster-sized apple :)
